Since living on a ranch at a young age, Becky’s life has always revolved around her love for animals. Surrounded by dogs, cats, goats, chickens, and horses, she delivered the filly of her horse at the age of ten. While attending California State University, Fresno, some of her training included breeding horses, cattle, and sheep, as well as docking tails and castrating. She also competed nationally in equitation on flat and over fences on the NCAA Fresno State Equestrian team all four years.
Having graduated cum laude with a BS in Animal Sciences, Becky assisted and later became head trainer at River View Farms in Fresno, CA, where she taught all levels of riders while training horses and competing herself.
While horses had always been her passion, after working as a vet tech assistant, she wanted to expand her horizons. The medical aspect of veterinary work intrigued her, however, it was challenging for her to experience animals being euthanized.
After extensive research, Becky discovered a dental technician job that didn’t require anesthesia. On her first day of training, she realized that she had found her niche. Always being fascinated with dentistry and animals from a young age, Becky was excited to combine the two in her career. Becky’s favorite part is being able to comfort and communicate with animals under her care.
She is a certified dental technician through The Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians (AVDT), CPR certified and has experience with a wide variety of veterinarians and hospitals.
Having worked on thousands of dogs and cats with varying health conditions, pet safety is of the utmost importance to Becky. She is widely educated in risk factors that would prevent animals undergoing the procedure. Becky resides in San Diego with her partner and her two dogs, Annie and Sadie. Becky’s hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, and weight training.
